When I was working on this pen and ink zentangle, a friend brought over a pizza from a local pizza chain. I asked her what kind it was and she said ‘half Kansas City, and half Duke City’. I had no idea what she meant. Later on when I saw the actual pizza it dawned on me: Kansas City because it had BBQ on it, and Duke City is because it had green chile peppers! (Duke City is the nickname for Albuquerque, NM and we are known for our love of green chile.) I hadn’t come up with names for these zentangle art pieces, so I thought these names would be perfect: Kansas City for the red one and Duke City for the green!
